Elinor's Encouragement

I am Elinor, Sun Ray.

I shed light around me, a wisp of a girl, clad in flowing white. A warm, happy smile lingers on my lips and a kind word readies to leap out at a moment's notice.

I have peace, for I know my purpose, the purpose God intended for my life.

I am to encourage, uplift, and bring joy to others. To shine Jesus' love in all that I do.

I am not perfect. No one is.

But there is peace in knowing your purpose.

Flowing like a stream does time pass by, slipping through fingers, just out of reach: it cannot be stopped or slowed.

Take heart my friend. The Lord has a purpose for you. Ask Him to reveal it to you, and He surely will.

Open your eyes to opportunities around you.

Perhaps you are the hands, working to serve others.

Or the ears, listening to the hurting, the broken, the lost, the discouraged.

Maybe the Lord intends for you to be the smile, like I am.

The sun ray, the warmth of a hug on a hard day, the presence of someone who sees your struggles and loves you anyway.

I don't flee when shadows rise, for I am a Daughter of the King who is the Light of the World. Darkness shall never overcome Him.

Hold fast t0 His promises, sweet friend. He is ever-faithful.

May you ponder and realize your purpose in this world.

You are one-of-a-kind, bought-by-His-blood, redeemed-by-His-grace, eternally-cherished-by-God and you, yes, you have a priceless, unique gift to share with the world.
