A Letter from a Princess

I am Sariah - it means Princess of the Lord.

There are no words to fully express all that the Lord has done for me.

He loves me more than anyone else ever could and blesses me with everything I could ever need.

He never leaves me or forsakes me.

He is always present.

Always supporting me.

Giving me strength.

Nourishing my body.

Listening and answering my many pleas.

When I am hungry, He feeds me.

When I cry, He comforts me.

When I am weak, He is strong.

When I feel unworthy, He calls me by name, leaving the 99 and comes to rescue me.

When my eyes are clouded with uncertainty, He tenderly says "Fix your eyes on Me, daughter."

When I protest that my life has not gone the way I hoped and planned, He breathes peace into me, for I know that the Lord sees the bigger picture and is working all things for the eternal good of those who love Him.

When I try to exchange my royal robes for earthly clothes to be accepted and liked, He gently chastises me, for I am not of the world, and He grants me a longing for something greater, something better than what is here.

When I am frazzled and anxious, He speaks to my soul, "Be still, and know that I am God."

If I look too long on the past or peer too far into the future, He gently pulls me back to the present.

If my heart lingers regretfully on doors shut and chapters closed, He whispers, "I have something better."

If I lose heart, He uplifts me.

He is so patient and kind to me.

He protects me from the evil one and holds my heart in His sheltering hands.

When I am burdened by pressures from a worldly society and worry about other's opinions, He reminds me to turn my focus away from the world and to Himself.

To trust Him fully.

With my life.

With my heart.

And with my future.

I am truly loved, fully known, and forever safe in the arms of my Savior.

Yes, I am Sariah, a daughter and princess of the Lord, but so are you.

You are cherished by the King of Heaven, known by the Lord of the Universe and held in the arms of your Savior, who gave His life for your sins that you may live forever with Him in heaven.

You also are a princess of the Lord.

All that the Lord does for me, out of His endless love and mercy, He does for you as well.

The Lord is faithful. He will never leave you, nor forsake you.

May you be blessed and encouraged by His love that never fails you.

May you remember the Lord's goodness on the hard days as well as the beautiful ones.

May you remain gentle and at peace as you focus on God rather than the world.
